A zombie-bitten father tries to save his infant daughter in this bittersweet short film
So you’ve been bitten by a zombie. So long, conscious brain activity, hello craving for human meat. But the protagonist of the short film Cargo has bigger problems than his impending demise: he has to find a way to save his infant daughter, even if he has to die first to do it.
Directed by Ben Howling and Yolanda Ramke, Cargo was a finalist in Tropfest Australia 2013. It’s also a rather clever take on zombie genre tropes, with a story that isn’t about the survival of self, but the survival of another.
Took an hour and a half worth of waiting but I was finally able to get 4 tickets for myself and my best friends :D
Almond milk tutorial..
1. Soak a cup of raw almonds overnight.
2. Add the soaked almonds and 4 cups of water to your blender. Optional: sweeten it with a couple of dates, agave, vanilla and/or maple syrup.
3. Blend it at high speed for a minute or two.
4. Pour the milk through a “nut milk bag” and squeeze out the liquid..
5. Pour the milk into a purdy little bottle/jar..
6. Lasts 4-7 days in the fridge. Enjoy!

Can I talk for a minute about how much I love Luigi?
He’s a fucking badass.
Not only is he a badass, he’s one of the only Nintendo characters that has shown actual personal progression, and for a nintendo character, that’s DEEP.
He’s played off as some super cowardly scaredy-cat, but keeps heading into mansions and trees and haunted who knows what to fight ghosts.
He hums to himself when he’s scared. You know what that is? A coping mechanism. Luigi has learned to cope with his issues.
When he finds a Toad, terrifies to all hell by ghosts, what does he do? He reassures Toad that everything is okay and that he will protect him. That’s not just courageous, that’s super selfless too.
And who are the ultimate enemies Luigi takes down? He takes down Boos. He takes down the ghosts that Mario runs away from like a little bitch.
Luigi gets scared, copes, and then fronts courage enough to save people. THAT is a fucking hero.
